Got the Ananto bowl and the fish was much higher quality than I expected! There was an odd smell when I first walked in, but otherwise everything was fantastic. Definitely going to come back.

Absolutely, it's a hidden gem! The portion size was modest, but the quality and freshness were outstanding. I will definitely return!

1/14/2026 - Ananto Sushi in Stevenson Ranch was open one year ago and is a hidden gem in a neighborhood of Los Angeles. You will be impressed with its daily Omakase offering with fresh raw dishes, in addition to a great presentation - see the uploaded short videos for your reference. The owner is also chef, who worked for an upscale Japanese Omacase restaurant in Beverly Hills for many years before opening his own upscale Sushi restaurant one year ago. There are ample big parking lot in front of the restaurant for free!

Cozy little restaurant across from Michael’s and World Market. Fish is sooo fresh, rice cooked to perfection, shrimp tempura batter was light and crispy just like it should be. Need to come back to try udon and other sushi bowls. Highly recommend the toro. It melted in your mouth.

We were on the lookout for a new sushi spot. The places that we normally like to go to have really gone downhill, so we have been on a search for a new good place to go. I remember seeing this place before they opened up and said that once they open up we need to try it. Cut to 7 months later, I did a quick search and saw this place pop up again and it reminded me that we have yet to go. The reviews were all I needed to see. We loaded up and headed over and we have no idea about what we were about to encounter. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly lady who ended up taking care of us. She was very kind, informative and attentive. We would later find out that she was the owner. We started off our meal with a tempura shrimp and it was fresh, crispy, tender and full of flavor. The sauce that came with it was delicate yet present. One of my favorite things is a spicy scallop hand roll and when I asked if she could do it she said "Absolutely, I can make that happen." It was by far the best spicy scallop hand roll I've ever had. We followed that up with two pieces of halibut sushi and she told us not to dip it in the soy sauce that it was seasoned with fresh lemon and sea salt.
